February 1, 2010 Schedule Changes
The following are planned service adjustments for CATS services to be implemented on FEBRUARY 1, 2010.
These service initiatives are in compliance with CATS' FY09 Transit Program. If you have any questions pertaining to the planned service adjustments, please call 704-336-RIDE (7433), or send an e-mail to telltransit@ci.charlotte.nc.us.
2 Ashley Road
Minor schedule adjustments will go into effect.
7 Beatties Ford Road
Minor schedule adjustments will go into effect on weekdays and on Saturdays. A minor routing adjustment will take place at the Harris Oaks turn-around. Trips will begin to operate clockwise around the Harris Oaks loop, with adjustments to bus stop locations along that loop.
11 North Tryon
Minor schedule adjustments will go into effect on Saturdays. In addition, the Saturday trip that departs from the Charlotte Transportation Center at 6:30 a.m. will be extended to UNC Charlotte.
17 Commonwealth
Service will be extended to the Matthews-Independence Pointe Park and Ride lot across from Windsor Square. The schedule will be adjusted as a result.
18 Selwyn Avenue
Minor weekday schedule adjustments will go into effect.
19 Park Road
The inbound routing will be adjusted. Routes will enter into Uptown Charlotte on College Street instead of Tryon Street. Minor schedule adjustments will go into effect on weekdays and on Saturdays.
20 Sharon Road
Weekday service will be adjusted to operate every 30 minutes during peak hours. A later inbound trip will begin to operate, leaving from Carolina Place Mall just after 7:00 p.m.
27 Monroe Road
Minor weekday schedule adjustments will go into effect.
30 Woodlawn/Scaleybark Crosstown
The trip that departs from the Rosa Parks Community Transit Center at 9:20 p.m. will be extended to Park Road Shopping Center.
43 Ballantyne
Minor weekday schedule adjustments will go into effect.
54X University Research Park Express
The park and ride lot at Presbyterian Hospital in the University Research Park area will be discontinued. Customers will still be able to park at the Mallard Creek Park and Ride lot off of J.N. Pease Place. The schedule will be adjusted so that trips operate every 12 to 13 minutes during part of the morning and afternoon rush, and every 10 minutes during the heart of the rush hour.
55 Westinghouse
Minor schedule adjustments will go into effect.
56 Arrowood
Minor schedule adjustments will go into effect.
79X Concord Mills Express
Minor schedule adjustments will go into effect.
83X Mooresville
Service will be reduced to three morning trips and three afternoon trips. Schedules will be adjusted on the remaining trips.
97 Cornelius Village Rider
Due to scheduled construction at Sam Furr and Statesville Road, #97 Cornelius Village Rider will be extended to the Huntersville-Gateway Park and Ride via Old Statesville Road.
98 McCoy Road Village Rider
Due to scheduled construction at Sam Furr and Statesville Road, #98 McCoy Road Village Rider will be adjusted. Service will continue to operate to Sam Furr/Statesville. Service will lay over at the Huntersville-Gateway Park and Ride.
99 Huntersville Village Rider
Due to scheduled construction at Sam Furr and Statesville Road, #99 Huntersville Village Rider will be adjusted. Service will originate at the Huntersville-Gateway Park and Ride and will continue to Northlake Mall. Customers near the North County Library will be able to board either #97 Cornelius Village Rider or #98 McCoy Road Village Rider to travel from the North County Library to the Huntersville-Gateway Park and Ride lot to board route 99.
201 Garden City
A new weekday trip departing from Braden and Milan at 5:38 a.m. will begin to operate.
204 LaSalle
Minor schedule adjustments will go into effect.
501 LYNX Blue Line
The first trip to Uptown/7th Street on Sunday morning that currently starts at the Woodlawn Station will be extended to begin at the Archdale Station at 6:31 a.m.
