Right of Way Sidewalk Program

Right of Way Sidewalk Program - BEFORE
In response to a recognized need, the Right of Way Maintenance section created an annual sidewalk clearing program which began the winter of 2004-2005. Project sites are identified throughout the year with work performed from November to April.

The program's goal is to remove dirt, debris and growth from sidewalks so that they remain a safe, aesthetically pleasing, transportation choice which helps to create great neighborhoods in which to live, work, and play.

This program is one way the Right of Way Maintenance section supports City Strategy.
Right of Way Sidewalk Program - AFTER
Since the project's inception, 65.39 miles of sidewalk have been cleared.

This year, 19.65 miles were cleared between December 2008 and March 2009.
