February 1, 2010 – (Charlotte, NC) – Due to recent inclement weather, the City of Charlotte Solid Waste Services delayed its Curb It! collection services until 10 am. All Monday customers will receive service today.

In order to ensure garbage and recycling services are completed, yard waste services will be suspended for Monday and Tuesday customers.  If weather permits, yard waste collection services will resume as normal for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday customers. 

To ensure collection, residents are asked to:

• Bag all garbage before placing it in the rollout cart
• Rinse out and remove lids from recyclable containers before placing them in the recycling bin
• Please allow 3 feet between the rollout cart, trees, parked cars and other obstacles
• Call 311 or visit http://curbit.charmeck.org to schedule bulky items for collection.
