February 2, 2010 – (Charlotte, NC) – The City of Charlotte Solid Waste Services is on schedule with Curb It! collection of garbage, recycling and bulky items for Tuesday customers.
In order to ensure garbage and recycling services are completed, yard waste services will be suspended for Tuesday customers. Yard waste collection services is scheduled to resume as normal for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday customers.
Residents may notice yard waste vehicles collecting recyclables in their neighborhoods. All recyclables collected by these vehicles are being transported to Mecklenburg County's recycling facility and are being recycled.
To ensure collection, residents are asked to:
- Bag all garbage before placing it in the rollout cart
- Rinse out and remove lids from recyclable containers before placing them in the recycling bin
- Please allow 3 feet between the rollout cart, trees, parked cars and other obstacles
- Call 311 or visit http://curbit.charmeck.org to schedule bulky items for collection.
